Ingredients\r Rava -1 1/2 cup\r Curd-1 cup\r Baking soda-1tsp\r Salt\r Sesame oil-2tbsp\r Mustard seeds-1/4tsp\r Grated carrot-1/2 cup\r Green chilli-1 chopped\r Coriander leaves- few chopped\r Urad dal-1/4 tsp\r Chana dal-1tsp\r Hing/kayam podi-less than 1/4 tsp\r \r Method\r \r In a kadai heat oil splutter mustard seeds, urad dal and then add chana dal and roast in medium flame\r Then add grated carrot, green chilli , leaves and saute till raw smell goes\r Now add rawa and roast for 2-3minutes\r In a vessel add beaten curd along with roasted rava mix\r mix well\r Then add salt and 1 cup of water \r soak for 20 minutes \r Then check the water consistency \r I added 1/4 glass more water .. so u add accordingly\r heat the steamer and get ready\r so just b4 making idly add baking soda and mix\r then immediately pour batter in the mould \r fill 3/4 th portion or it will spill \r steam for 10 min or until cooked well\r serve with spicy Tomato , coconut chutney\r from this measurement I made 16 idli
