SOLD is a 2016 feature film by Oscar-winning Director Jeffrey Brown, Producer Jane Charles and Executive Producer Emma Thompson. Lakshmi is a 13 year old girl in a rural village in Nepal who is tricked into going to the city to work and is kidnapped and imprisoned in a brothel in India where she must risk everything for Freedom. The film stars Gillian Anderson, David Arquette, Sushmita Mukherjee and introducing Niyar Saikia as Lakshmi.
