The International Fencing Federation (FIE) is an organization governing the sport of fencing throughout the world, and a member sports federation of the International Olympic Committee.
It is based in the Olympic capital of Lausanne, Switzerland and currently includes 155 member federations. It was one of the original sports played at the first modern Olympic Games in 1896, and today includes 12 events comprising men’s and women’s epee, foil, and sabre in individual and team competition.
